In Poland
Poland carries the EU's third-largest cattle herd, around six million head, and better than nine cows in ten are dairy. Grazing sits mainly in Mazowieckie, Podlaskie, Wielkopolskie and Warmia-Masuria, on fragmented parcels and river-valley grassland, with a smaller suckler sector on ground that does not suit cropping. eShepherd takes out the daily job of shifting temporary fence.
Why eShepherd
Why eShepherd works in Poland
- Daily break allocation on dairy platforms in Mazowieckie and Podlaskie becomes an app job, with no reels, posts or second walk out to the paddock.
- Fragmented and rented parcels are normal in Polish farming. Graze ground you do not own without installing infrastructure you cannot recover at lease end.
- Wet river-valley grassland in the Biebrza and Narew basins floods and shifts. Redraw the grazed area instead of rebuilding fence after every flood.
- The suckler sector sits on marginal and upland ground in Podkarpacie and the Carpathian foothills, where fence lines are long relative to the cattle they hold.
- eShepherd runs on its own LoRa base stations here rather than cellular, so the base station is part of the setup and a specialist scopes it with you. Model what taking fence work out of the week is worth in the ROI calculator.
Pricing
What does eShepherd cost in Poland?
Cost depends on your herd size, your connectivity setup and your terrain, so rather than a one-size price we build you an exact figure, free and no-obligation. You own the neckbands outright (no per-head lease), with a small monthly connectivity charge.
Connectivity
Carrier coverage in Poland
Poland runs on eShepherd's private LoRa rather than cellular. We have no cellular IoT roaming in the country, so each property is covered by LoRa base stations installed on the farm. One base station reaches several kilometres across open ground, which suits the central and eastern grazing belt well. Terrain matters more than it does on cellular, so a specialist scopes the base station layout for your blocks, from the Carpathian valleys of Podkarpacie to the Biebrza and Narew wetlands and the Masurian forests, before you commit anything.
